Re: Take your pick Thanks Craig. I haven't really played too much with displacement mapping, but I do see some cool ideas that can be used with it.

Re: Take your pick well, since it looks like i killed this thread, i thought i'd better kick-start it again. this was done from a couple of filterforge filters, then taken back into psp where those got blended by blend modes and opacity. added a curves, did some airbrush and finished all this off with some smudging and more blend modes.

Re: Take your pick Craig, what would you do if someone came and took your FF toy away? Now, how 'bout a better crop?

Re: Take your pick Craig, I'd like to see your version cropped closer to the bird's beak. Although the shot of the parrot is good, the fact that its tail was cut off and there is so much "blank" canvas to the left screams "bad shot, bad shot". I think in this case, cropping out the left side would give a "tight shot" feel such that you don't "mind" the missing tail. Am I making any sense?

Re: Take your pick dee dee, i cant give you a crop of the posted pic. i cropped half way through. so, most all the smudging and some of the other was done after the crop. but, here's the point just before i cropped.

When you marry Tone mapping (Qtpfsgui)... ...with ACE, you get this (well, again, some additional tweaks required as well).

Re: Take your pick Thanks Craig. I didn't know if I should take it all the way to an illustration, or enhance it to the photo side, so I left it be. Schizo I am. lol
