Cool thx... hehe...rainbow lorikeets...got lots of those 'round my place. Fell asleep on the deck the other day only to be woken up soon by one of the cheeky buggers (noisily) helping himself to the scraps on the plate in my lap

I like all of your's Judy,....

...especially the giraffe. I just wish I could find a plugin that can give that sketch draw feel like you did for this one (you all know how lazy I am).

Not a very good watercolor I know. I suppose I could have done a little less cropping and kept some image quality but I didn't. So now we have an watery, abstracted bird.

Re: Take your pick

cheetahs are one of my favorite big cats... from a distance. but this was just a bit too distant. so, i quadrupled the image size, cropped it, enchanced it and did just a touch of artifying so we could all see these amazing creatures a bit better.

again, thanks judy

Great shots, Jaykita. Love the jungle theme!

Various techniques. Some History Brush, Some Dry Brush filter. Lots of HSB adjustments for different effects in the different renderings.

Re: Take your pick

Thank you. I created a selection of the bird. Inversed it and used that selection to paint the background on a blank layer. Then I inversed it again and painted the bird on a new blank layer. Finally, I duped the background layer and used the glowing edges filter, inversed it and desaturated it, and moved it on top of the stack, and changed the blend mode to soft light. I used byRo's brushes.

I would appreciate any suggestions for how to improve my technique.

Yes; another vector.

Did some additional things to help enhance the contrast prior to Autotrace vector simplication.

That is super lkroll (you really do need to see the detail in this) I guess it is going to be a plug in/filter ?
