Sofisticated Girl

I did not take the time to do it right. I am on my lap top at work in between phone calls and I am not on my fabulous Adobe 7 but limited Le.
But this is how I see Lisa Model extrodinaire ( probobly spelled wrong)

I haven't profiled my LCD so color looks good but might be off.

You are a very pretty girl. I hope you are modeling.

Less colour in this one ....makes it a tad more sophisticated!

Well Chuck before I read your background I guessed you needed a Masters degree to figure it out. I am know as the computer guru in my office but with that I felt like the village idiot.

I tried there tutorials but no where is there anything that tells you how to put your image into this program.

CJ Phyliss I feel so stuipid with that program. Two hours trying to figure out how Truman got her face in the ball. But I will figure it out or die. and when I do I will be kinder then Chuck or Truman I will give hints. Ha Ha.!

For TRuman

POv program the submission you made, if I am not mistaken was made in Pov.

1 - how did you import That girls pic into it.

2 - How did you save it as a bmp to bring it into PS.

a combo..."that girl" with "alan's butterfly"

I was cruising through the mini-challenges and looked at all the great "alan's butterfly" pics. (Great work you guys!) I was tossing around what to do with those wings when I spotted the OhThatGirl challange. Ah-ha!
(I must admit I was inspired by Trine Simes butterflychild picture...nice photos on your website Trine!)

I started by copying the wings off the butterfly, cloning in some missing top wing bits and tranforming them (scale, rotate, perspective) to get them to look right on Lisa's body.

then I colourised Lisa including adding some wing texture to her dress and getting rid of the buttons. (Fairies don't 'do' buttons!) I also used liquify and cloning to "elf up" her ears a little. (I didn't really need liquify but I started out using it to change the shape of the wings to something spikier but decided to ditch that work. I'd spent so much time using it I needed an excuse to say I still did. So I tweaked her ears)

I used the smart blur (learned that from this site!) and then texturized a render clouds background that had been hue adjusted to yellow. I also saturated the colours of the wings a bit.

The text is from the dictionary. Just like Lisa herself - helpful and a bit supernatural in her photgraphy/graphic skills.

I will post this under the butterfly thread as well. See below for two other versions of this....I couldn't stop playing!

Helena

hmmmm...perhaps she should have antennae too?

another butterfly/THatGirl combo

here is picture number two...just combined the first one with a photo of the woods. Changed the hue on the woods and saturated some bits of the trees. Gave Lisa an outer glow and drew in the light trails (with glow).

I like this one a lot. I would change the light trails a bit and do it on a nice smooth pen path next time.

and one more....

Here is the last one. Combined Lisa with two other butterfly pics (used smart blur twice) Cloned her into place and gave her a glow....had to mask a bit to keep the glow in the right places because of some flattening I'd done earlier. (I hate it when I do that too soon)

This was fun!

Phil:

This isn't an area of I'm particularly knowledgeable in, so I'm shootin' from the hip here.

The skin tones somewhat blotchy and a little too varied in tone. These were distracting to me.

I'm definitely OK on the rest of it, including the Lighting Effects which turned out very good.

If you haven't yet, check out this challenge for some colorizing ideas. Also Jak's tutorial on colorization (see Tutorials from the main menu).

Hope this helps a little.

~Danny~
