I'm glad you like it. I used two different filters on two different layers. Adapt Equalize and Glare filter.

Phyllis,

Wow that is great and I like the lotus one too, what filters are these? Can you give a few more details for us newbies. I like it.

Thanks,
Alan

Talking

Didn't like the way it was turning out so just started messing with it. Hate it when it turns out good all of a sudden and I don't know all I did. A happy accident.

Thanks, Alan. The technique is one I discovered while playing around with filter combos and blend modes about two weeks ago and I've been using it a lot in mini challenges since then. The step by step instructions are given along with my last entries in both the flowers mini #62 and the produce mini #63. I also used it on the fish mini and on Guitar Charlie and on the cats Jake and Joey and maybe elsewhere.

If you look at these two fish:

as opposed to the produce pic:

you will see that there is quite a difference in how it affects different photos, but I personally like both looks. There are some pics I've tried it on that just fall flat, however, so, like anything else, it's usefulness depends on the original picture, and of course intermediate settings will make a big difference too.

Phyllis

This is an outstanding butterfly shot and was a pleasure to work with.

Don--That is beautiful. You created an excellent effect for the image. The softness is wonderful.

Danny--Thanks for letting me play with your portrait process. I see what you mean about needing tweaking each time, but they're easy tweaks and that makes it fun to play with. This probably wasn't what you intended, but I like the result.
