So many great reditions of this wonderful ole truck....
This was fun, started with a tutorial from digital-creativity.uk.
Got a bit lost in the middle and finished with an action for the frame.

kudbegud:

Welcome to RetouchPRO (as a member). As you can see the gang is having a blast with your pic. Judging by your interpretations, you'll fit right in here.

Hope you try some of the other mini-challenges, too. No time limit on any of them. Would enjoy seeing more of your creations.

"Aloha."

No fair using the same avitar! Just noticed that. Bet you have a fun time engaging in such pranks. The good news: You're both talented, which is lucky for the rest of us!

Wow, this IS another great thread. So many excellent renditions.

Goldcoin - I really like the distressed look of your version. Very nice. Is that a polaroid rebate I see in there...and if so, where'd you find it?

Pam

Wow this old truck has gotten many face-lifts!

Phyllis the cobweb effect is great. I really like the look.

Blacknight the colors and texture on the image look fantastic.

Trimoon – Three in a row! Wow I am partial to no.1 the frame and mat on that image is very nice.

Chuck I think you need to take that truck out of the attic and hang it downstairs! I love the edges and overall color on your image.

OK Phil – the hippie look and acid bg brought back way too many memories for me! Lol -- love the concept

Kudbegud – another 3 in a row, can’t make up my mind which one I like best – the effect on all three is cool. --- COOL, oh no that must be left over from Phil’s image; next I’ll be saying someone’s image is groovy!

Goldcoin what a great effect on the edges, how’d you do that?

Sorry Danny – Jean and I are planning on separate avatar’s – just have not made a second one yet - lol

Chuck....
Really liked your painted version, did you do that in PS or Painters?

Pam.....

You sure know your filters..... That is "Polor Coordinates" under > distort. But the tutorial, later took it Black & White. I layered back to color and ran an etching action, Antique Stipple Engraving, one of my favorites. Merged that result with all the others.

TwinbNJ
The action is from Adobe's called Z(Burnt Edges) for the frame. Changed the background to black from white.

What a great picture to work on..I am a sucker for old truck and equipment pictures.. All of these entries are so good that I am saving all of them into an old truck file for further review later..

Here is a try at a pen and ink using a variation of Trimoons pencil02 technique..

Thanks
Jerry

I had to reduce the size of this 2 times and save it at 0 quality to get it to fit here..Hope it looks like something..

Jerry:

Trimoon's method transcends subjects. Despite the size shuffling hoops lept through, to me it shows just fine.

On this one I ran the Virtual Painter "Oil Painting" filter against our Maui classic, then applied a technique that can be found here: http://www.developingwebs.net/photoshop/watercolor.php

Great picture and some very good submissions

Thought I'd try paint engine, since it is now one of my "new toys".
The possibilities seem endless. Thanks again Danny
