Hope your wife's tears were of "joy," not pain!
Seriously, thanks again for letting me post this pic which enabled more folks to appreciate it.
Though this section is more-or-less "photo-art" related, don't hesitate to poke around other forums and learn and ask questions and have fun. All of us at one time or another were Photoshop (or Paintshop Pro or PS Elements or whatever) rookies and I've found most of the folks who participate at this site are very helpful.

| | | After cropping and simplifying background and applying some filters, I rotated the canvas 45 deg and added a gauze pattern then rotated it back again and recropped.

| | | A Shinning Star When I saw this little star in her red, white, and blue dress I thought how patriotic! I wanted to make her the dream of our future. She is beautiful!
Took orig. picture worked the brightness and contrast on her face. Removed her arm and flipped it. Layered the other American icon a teddy bear and layer it in. Changed the background with a blue radiant and added the American flag used opacity. Cut and pasted the “star” onto the new background and worked the opacity added a spotlight.

| | themanda,
Very imaginative work!
Myself, I really liked the original fairy photo. Excellent placement of the objects and the composition was simple and uncluttered. Seems you had a winner before the paint effects, however, all were pleasing to view. |

| | | #88 - Baby Peek Here is my rendition of the little cutie-pie. She is one little sweetheart.
Did a sketch and drug it over the original and used a wide chalk brush so I would need only on pass to get the effect I wanted.
I hope you enjoy it.
