Here’s another “mini-challenge” to play with in the Photo-based Art category until the next major challenge is posted here. The base image can be downloaded by clicking the link below the photo description.

What can I say: She's adorable, isn't she? Let's see what you can do!

Of course, I couldn't just leave her in a room full of toys. No sir.
Sooooo...here's a little fairy watercolor. |

| | | And since I spent so much time on it, here's the "original" fairy photo manipulation that I put together to base all of the art on. Just wanted to share!! |

| | Wow!! The all are really great! The remind me of Anne Geddes' artistry. You perfectly captured a beautiful little girl! |

| | | Thank you both so much! It was a great photo to begin with...that's more work than coming up with a good interpretation. She's just a good subject.
Here's another one. I guess she just inspires me!
This feels like an abstract oil painting portrait, so that's what I'll call it. |

| | | Amanda, I really love how you placed her in the flowers like a little fairy...ingenious! My favorite is the first one...the delicacy of the lines and colors suits the fairy theme, I think.
Kud, nice job getting rid of all that background and keeping the emphasis on this little cutie. Well done!

| | | Thanks to all! I am the father/photographer. Thank you all for the amazing renditions that you have created. As I mentioned to Danny, I am new to photoshop et al and I was very curious about the possibilities. Brilliant job everyone. My wife nearly cried when I showed her some of the various renditions.
