Your interpretation just shows that you can achieve lovely results using a light touch.
Nicely done.

| | | Vintage Duped bottom layer
L2 -/Photo Wizz/Lum Neg (this lightens, brightens and reveals
what's in the shadows)
Mode/Soft Light - merged and duped layer
Power Retouche/BW filter
Filter Amphisoft/Photo Tint White out
???? Can't recall what I did on this layer
but at a guess - Mode/Lum (L) reduced opacity.
Merged both layers and duped again
L2 - Buzzed then Paint Shop Pro/Brushstroke
Normal Mode - 75%
Merged both layers
Added a matt frame.
A nice olde world photo to work with again, thank you! |

| | | It's been awhile... Thought I would take a shot at this one.
I followed this tutorial for the most part. Of course, I tweaked the filter settings to my liking.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy doing this |

| | | Rose and Wine Layer 1:Original layer
Layer 2:Layer copy of original, desaturated, inverted and gausian blurred, blend mode color, cut out rose and wine and ran some selective blurring
Added text and drop shadow and some minor tweaking.

Added text and drop shadow and some minor tweaking. | Your text selection adds a lot of class to this interpretation. Well done.

| | | JLC, I have to admit I like your version of the tutorial you used much better than the original they used to do the tute with. You really have a nice version. Now tell me, how did you manage to toggle back and forth between your work and the online tutorial without losing your mind in the process?

| | wizzard7-- great rendition. Care to share?
I did mine a long time back with stylize-find edges, buzzpro and smart blur. Now is as good a time as any to post it, i suppose |

| | | In Painter IX.
Increased canvas size.
Duplicated background (wish this was as easy as in Photoshop)
Ran Xero Line Art - Sketch mode line = 10
Used blender brush - grainy water 30 to paint over the sketch.
Reduced opacity to 80% to bring back some detail.

In the Tools palette, it's "under" the History Brush. (The keyboard shortcut is "Y".) |
