| Go to: http://jacksonpollock.org/ Before you start... hide your tool bars (IE users: press F11), which will give you more room to paint. To start: When the web page opens, right click (mouse), left click (pen) and select Play. To paint: Move your pen or mouse back and forth -- quickly! The speed of movement determines how much "paint" is applied. To change colors: Left click (mouse) or touch the tablet with the pen. * It appears that the start color is always black. Colors that follow appear to be random. * Black seems to show up more often than some colors; shades of yellow are infrequent. "Throw on paint" to your heart's content. To start over: Right click (mouse) or left click (pen) and select Back or Rewind. ============= When your masterpiece is finished: * Quickly move mouse or pen to the top of the screen, otherwise large "blobs" of paint will appear. * Press the Print Screen key to capture your work. Then: * Open Photoshop (or whatever image editor you are using) * File > New (Preset: Clipboard) * Edit > Paste ...and your painting is there. * Crop to remove unwanted areas. * Now you can adjust the aspect ratio of the image, change colors or... well, there is no limit to what you can do. Attached are some example paintings. Both were brought into Photoshop for final tweaking. Careful, this site is addicting!! Let's see what you can do. | Re: Paint Right on the Web - Jackson Pollock style Try the Liquify command on your painting! Also color adjust, blending modes and emboss filter, etc., etc. Another idea: Try combining two or more paintings like I did here: Hurricane-Cat 5 and White Rabbit Don't be afraid to paint in some details on your own or copy and paste portions of the image. You could start a whole new school of artistic expression! Last edited by Photomaster; 10-06-2006 at 12:08 AM. |
