| | | Software:trying to choose and not buy ALL I am a little overwhelmed - I am interested in the following:
Alien's Snap Art
Buzz Pro or buzz some version
ArtMaster
something else I should be considering instead?
Is there a great deal of overlap? Do any stand out as superior?
Thanks for your advice |

Christine | Add a second thumbs down to Artmaster.
re: Snap Art
Download the demo. It's fully functional and good for 30 days. |

Thanks for your advice | More thoughts...
* ArtMaster has Buzz-like functionality built-in (both from the same company).
* Snap Art & Buzz are plugins. AM is a stand alone application.
* Not much overlap. Apples/oranges in terms of what each produces IMO.
I like/use Impressionist a lot more than any of these. |

Palms | Excellent point.
Speaking of FREE, use the forum search tool (click Search above, use Advanced Search) to search thread titles for PAINT ENGINE -- another great freebee about which much has been written here at RetouchPRO. |

| | | Re: Software:trying to choose and not buy ALL I really like Buzz. Art Master is okay, but not worth the money. Lucis is a useful plug-in for me. I like Buzz and Lucis because I can access them in the PS filters.

I don't have info on ArtMaster because they won't return my emails! I need to try again. Snap Art may well be your best bet for all-around flexibility and artistic coolness. Alien Skin makes excellent software. |
