Re: What's going on with Fo2PiX?

Wow, I like buzz and art master.

Can't reach their website either. "This domain name has been registered for a customer. Either the site is temporarily unavailable for maintenance or is not yet active."

http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/pho...artmasterg.htm

As of November 2007, Fo2Pix is out of business and the company assets are in liquidation. Unfortunately, there is no way to purchase Fo2Pix products at this time.

Thanks for the info. I'd prefer to see the plug-in, but I can handle it as a stand alone program if I ever find it.

More than likely, Fo2Pix registered their domain for quite a few years out, so it will show up as "owned". If the company was considering selling off the assets, they'd sell and transfer their old domain address to the buyer. The new owner would set forwarding commands on all the old pages to go to their site (such as Corel).

Re: What's going on with Fo2PiX?

I don't know if anyone will read this but I just found this thread. I purchased Art Master Pro and have been enjoying it. I want to install the program on my laptop to use when we go on vacation so I can play with vacation photos but cannot find my "Response Code" for the install process anywhere. If they are out of business and cannot provide me with this number (I can't locate the one I got on original install), is that a number someone can provide - it's not like giving away the program... if ANYONE can provide this response code I would greately appreciate it otherwise my lovely pricey program may just be useless forever.... Re: What's going on with Fo2PiX?

I've been Googling around this evening after reading various threads here and elsewhere asking about the status of buZZ and ArtMaster products. I noticed CEO Don McCrae's name mentioned here in a older press release (as well as here on this forum). I looked him up on Google and came across his photo page at OneModelPlace (WARNING: nudes; not that that's bad, but you know, I don't want you to be surprised). It seems he can be contacted via that page.

The page linked in a reply above (About.com) states f02pix is in liquidation as of November 2007.

So there you have it. The company is no more but Don uses his "specialist software and techiniques" to spice up his fine art pix of the young ladies. Probably a better gig than software development... ;-)

Re: What's going on with Fo2PiX?

Hi Alan,

I think I have the BuZZPro3 manual in PDF form. BuZZPro2 is probably a subset of BuZZPro3. The BuZZPro3 manual is a fairly large file, probably because of illustrations. As I recall, it is over 6 Megs, so it probably wouldn't pass as an email attachment. But I notice this forum allows PDF file attachments. Do you know what the file size limit is here? Or if your email allows file attachments that large?

Post Re: What's going on with Fo2PiX?

I found the Buzz Pro 2 manual.pdf (1.8 megs) as well as "Making pictures
from photographs" (628k), both from 2001. I don't have any documentation for buZZ.X.

The attachment limit here for all file types is 100k, so I posted the two PDFs in a single zipped file here.

I also just found the Buzz Pro 1.0 manual from 2000, back when they were Segmentis!

GB, I'd like to see the PDF you have. Please email to plugsnpixels <at> gmail.com or host for direct download.

BTW, I also came across a copy of the free buZZ.Lite 2.0 in my archives (2001). Not sure if it's for Windows as well. Download and check it out (412k).

Re: What's going on with Fo2PiX?

I bought Art Master and I believe it came with 10 plug-ins. There were a number of separate plug-ins one could buy for around $20. If someone finds these somewhere as well pls let me know.
