Instead of starting with a blank layer, I used a picture. Sorry Swampy I borrowed one of yours posted here :- http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...formation.html (Now before you check out the original, have a go at guessing what it was.)
Then I did almost followed the tute, But only one Radial blur, then the Distort wave bit (tweaked), Duped, flipped and blend mode changed.
I also messed with the colours to boost them a touch. A few other thing as well, but I was trying so many things and blend modes I can't remember it all.
Any how it came out looking like an extreme close-up of a giants head to me.
I'd love to see some other goes at this sort of thing.
I was going to start a new thread for it, but it was Palms's find so I posted here.
Peter | Wow Peter that is super, can you also see a person standing ? quite surreal ( think of the dark bit in the middle as a body etc)
Will have to try a picture not thought of that one and no I can't guess what it could be ! ! !
By all means start another thread and repost this it will be very interesting to see other ones

| Glad to hear you don't cheat. Not that I thought you had of course.
Well I decided not to start a new post, as you probably realised by now.
But I've attached a small Action file for you to try on an image. (Better than any tute)
Let me know what you think.
Open to anyone else of course as well.
