As you know sometimes brushes are version specific, e.g., there are brushes in Painter X that are not in IX; ditto for CS3 over earlier versions. One many not realize this type of situation, especially if they skipped a couple versions. For example I just went from PS7 to CS3.
When this happens again -- and it no doubt will -- this is what I would do (and have done):
* Look among my own resources [like you do]
* Do a Google search on the brush or setting name(s) [works 98% of the time]
* Failing the above, reply to the thread and ask the author for additional info. Folks are almost always willing to point people in the right direction. |
