Re: Impressionist plugin: Custom brushes

Fluff: You Rock!

GREAT brushes. I *really like* 1 and 10.

Many thanks.

I just FedEx'd a kilo of extra frisky catnip to Oz for your enjoyment.

========

p.s. I consolidated your .zips in the post above = easy find.

Upload more anytime you like!

========

TRYING OUT FLUFF’S BRUSHES (a brush install refresher…)

1. Download the .zip files

2. Unzip and put the files in this folder: \Impressionist Accessories\Brushes
-or- a subfolder within this folder. I put mine in \Impressionist Accessories\Brushes\FB

3. Open a test image.

4. Invoke Impressionist.

If button Fewer Controls is visible at the bottom of the dialog, go to the next step. Otherwise click button More Controls.

5. Choose a Style via the Style Menu (your choice on which style)

6. Go to the Brushes panel

7. Click the Custom button and navigate to any of the new brush files just installed. (I started with MyBrsh10.tif)

8. Click on the file name, then the LOAD button.

9. Click APPLY to see what you get.

10. Experiment with settings. If you get something great, be sure to save your customized style. (see above for how to save styles)

Re: Impressionist plugin: Custom brushes

Thanks for sharing Fluff; saw a result that Danny did and had to grab these for myself. Look forward to trying them out when I get that urge.

Re: Impressionist plugin: Custom brushes

Link to an image with custom brush potential...

http://www.artsability.co.uk/_Roy-Li...ke_Pop_Art.jpg

Remember:
* You will need to modify this image in Photoshop, PSP, Elements or whatever editing program you use. The objectivd is to end up with a black (no paint) and white (paint) image approximately 200 pxl x 199 pxl
* Save in .tif format
* Save in \Impressionist Accessories\Brushes

Experiment and have fun!

Re: Impressionist plugin: Custom brushes

Hey Danny; just did this one using that same brush from Fluff's set. I just modified the Snake preset with that brush and adjust size to taste for the result (along with other things of course).

Thanks FB; with the assistance of your brushes, I did this one too. I liked the result anyway.

That one looks like the last thing you'll ever see (if you get my meaning.. LOL).

Pure power in motion!

Re: Impressionist plugin: Custom brushes

Anudder brush to play with (It was posted as a normal image earlier).

Sorry they're in dribs and drabs, but I 'make' (convert) a brush, play with it, don't like it, delete it (or like it, keep it) - and then upload it here. I also upload some of the 'bad' ones, 'cos someone might like them..

Wow... very cool, LK. A definite winner.

How about saving your custom style in a separate .set file, zip it -- along with the brush .tif -- and upload the .zip?
