Of Course!...

Because we need you to perk our incentive... and also because we need to follow your instructions!

Besides all that... Sweetlight would probably be totally lost without you taking him by the hand and showing him the way!

Re: Pop ups ?

i always thought the oobs were a lot of fun, never did anything as remarkable as some i've seen posted.
i think you did a great job palms! i want to give it a go but we'll see, probably more challenging than it appears at first glance.

Re: Pop ups ?

Great idea and great execution. I'll look thru my files, too!
On the Flikr site my favorite was the "tree" on the pink background.

Re: Pop ups ?

Thank you all for you kind words and encouragement,
I would say it is not too hard ! you just have to find the right image and get a good selection done

Then ( this is the hard bit for me ) alter the perscetion/angle/distortion bit

with a layer of colour underneath

Off the top of my head i know Ol Baldy will be alright with that bit i have seen his oob's

would love to see some more done

Re: Pop ups ?

I always wanted to try this...thank you Palms, without your suggestion I'd never have begun. It seems like a technique which needs a certain type of photograph. I shoot everything around here and this is one of my most favorite captures. Poor cows...just begging to be liberated. It was a joy to say to this one, go free, go free!

Re: Pop ups ?

Veronica I love it! I agree about the certain type of photograph although there were some pretty creative ones that I'd never have thought of on that link Palms posted.

Re: Pop ups ?

Thanks all, looking at it again this morning and still feel something is missing maybe it is a shadow but of what ? or maybe it is the background colour
well i will leave it alone for a bit and then have another look and it might become clearer

Re: Pop ups ?

I think you're right about the shadow. Maybe a bit darker background?

Re: Pop ups ?

delightful, palms!

you feel like something is missing and i think i may know what. the fishbowl needs grounding and you've a lot of fairly bland background. an horizon line would add some perspective and some grounding and a little more variety. just a thought... and it really is delightful

Re: Pop ups ?

Away for a few days and SO much more has been added.
Palms, personally I like your whale one. (Is it a whale or ...?)and yet I also see what you mean about needing something else. I like the lightness of the whole image, not just in color but in spirit. So as the whale is jumping into the bowl from the background, wouldn't that cause the "paper' background to flutter away? It is very static, so maybe a twist or curl or two. Maybe? The splash and water drops look so realistic. Maybe some could drip onto the paper. Oh. You know what I mean.
Thank you everyone for your words. Gosh it feels good.

Nice fish bowl Palms, but I don't think it'll fit in there somehow,
