Impressionist plugin and Paintshop Pro X2 Will this plugin work with paint shop pro x2? If so, how does one install it? I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 and also order the x2. Thanks. Alan

For those of you that would like instructions on how to install the Impressionist plug-in, send me an email and I'll send you my set of instructions (I don't have time to work on my site right now). The instructions are for the set coming with my books but you can adapt them easily to your version of Photoshop (or whatever you're using). Sylvia |

Re: Impressionist plugin and Paintshop Pro X2 Alan... as I recall it's kind of an obscure implementation. The info here ought to get you over the hump: http://www.brighthub.com/multimedia/...les/19544.aspx

Re: Impressionist plugin and Paintshop Pro X2 alcar, there used to be a folder in psp called 'plugins'. you simply put all .8bf files in there and then started the program and they'd be there. now, i think it works a bit differently. you can now do it all from within the program. hang on, let me call it up to make sure i've got this right... ok, here we go. start the program, go to 'file' in the menu system, pick 'preferences' and then 'file locations'. scroll down to 'plugin's and choose 'add'. then, browse to where you plugin resides on your drive. pick that and it shld be 'added' to psp's various file locations where it pulls things from. this also works the same way for tubes, textures and all the other stuff we used to have folders for in psp. and that shld do it. let me know if it works.

Re: Impressionist plugin and Paintshop Pro X2 if this is your first psp purchase, alan, you picked the right one to jump in on. previous versions were often a bit unstable (at least for me). this X2 seems to be much more stable. and you're welcome.
