Abstracts with Xero Plugins

I'm having a lot of fun with the ABSTRACT plugin in Xero Plugins. I like to make artwork that I can have printed large format and framed to hang on the wall.

I use PSP8 most of the time. I take two photos, both in either portrait or landscape. Doesn't much matter what the subject is. I enlarge them to 1024 at the longest side and remove the moire pattern and bands. Then I run each through buzz simplifier on 2.

Then the fun starts. Use the Abstractor on each one until you get a real abstract feel, then use the arithmetic command on average to merge the two together. While not every image is a winner, some of them do please the abstract eye.

Playing with one image using rotating mirror adds another dimension. Try it!
