Creative interpretations: Sports - NBA basketball

Here I isolated the players and added an adjustment layer for selective color.
I added two sets of Render->Lighting Effects.
Then, I added a mask to both lighting layers, lowered opacity and removed some of the light from the player in black (Tony Parker) because it was over-exposed.

I will get better at dictating what I have done with each pic......I promise.

After a couple of weeks on holiday I'm a little rusty so chose this one to get back into the "feel" of things!

Duped bottom layer
L2 - Fotomatic/Techni-X filter - Dupe L2
L3 - Paint Engine/Poster effect - Soft Light
Impressionist/Chalk - Bright strokes on Black - Mode Normal 60%
Merged all layers.
PSP8 - Brush Preset/Coloured Noise - on bg only.

A very inventive combination of techniques from the lab of Dr. Rô. The way you handled the background sure makes those players stand out.
