Paint Shop Pro 9 Help Anyone have a good tutorial on painting a digital photo with Paint Shop Pro 9 (not painter 9). I like to have something written at my side, rather than refering continuously at the help file...Also looking for a copy of Painter 7 or 8, Ebay doesn't seem to have any. Was that cool to ask? Thanks in advance, Deb

I just checked eBay... At the moment there are auctions for Painter 8 and they appear to be ongoing based on a check of completed auctions. IMPORTANT: If you get Painter 8, BE SURE you install the 8.1 patch BEFORE you open the program for the first time. See details at www.Corel.com. PSP tutorials I have not seen any PSP 9 (specific) tutorials yet. There are a few PSP tutorials in this thread (near the bottom): http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/photo-based-art/3244-tutorials-photo-art-tutorials-links.html ~Danny~

http://www.jasc.com/en/products/paintshoppro/ Try this page it shows you what psp9 can do and if you click on "Learn More" it might help... Or... http://www.silkenthread.net/tutorials.htm This offers good tuts for psp9. Or... I don't know if you know this but psp9 has a rare amount of tutorials and that alot of my friends have had psp8 and now have psp9 they all say it looks just the same as psp8 so my advice to you is go to google and google for psp8 tutorials... Here is my list which i like very much http://members.fortunecity.com/angeal/tutorials/ Good luck!

PSP9 has so much more to it than PSP8 ! It incorporates a lot of what Painter does. I have it and am still learning the new features. For me, I have to play with it for a long time to learn what the features do. I'm not very good at reading a tutorial and applying it PSP9 is a great low cost alternative to Painter. Amy

Big Al, while this is a terrific site, it does not have any tutorials that are specific to the new PSP 9.0. 9.0 has brand new features that bring it close to what Painter does. Amy

Amy, there *are* PSP9 links in the lists. You have to look for them (some of the links don't work because they point to the old Jasc site). Here's a useful one that I got off the "General information" page. Another from the same page. There are many PSP8 links, and PSP8 & 9 share many features, so you should be able to use these without any hassles. If you're referring to the art media brushes, you may want to check out the tut by JP Kabala on the Jasc (Corel) site called "Trace images with the art media tools" it's too difficult to get the URL, but follow this path: http://www.jasc.com takes you to the Corel site, go to Community and then to to tutorials and then Paint Shop Pro. Scroll through the list.
