Thanks for the pic Neve

Extracted the parrot from the beckground.
Applied lots of gaussian blur to the bg.
Hue/sat adjustment with colorize box checked.
applied paint daubs to the parrot.
merged visible.
Applied Takstya filter by Xero (first time I used it) for texture.
