Beautiful roses, everyone.
I used the Art History Brush and used Steve's canvas texture.

i just cant seem to pass up a rose.

nice pieces, all. and con, i especially liked your innovative rendition.

on mine:

selected out the rose to a new layer.
sharpened more 4 times.
colored edges to original layer with background
brush stokes to original layer also.
blend mode on original layer to multiply...i think
cloned out some unwanted bits.

oh, and i moved the flower over to the left.

time for another animation. i didnt cut this one down at all. therefore, i cant post it directly as an attachment, but i've posted a link here to where it resides.

Such a beautiful rose!

This technique is a combination of my own stuff and an excelent watercolor tutorial I picked up elsewhere.
