Creative interpretations: Scenery - USA Montana Lake

Although the U.S. state of Montana is not highly populated, some beautiful scenery can be found there.

Torn edges.
Duplicated background and ran sketcher, layer mode set to hard light.
Merged to new layer and ran VP Gouache.

Nice impressionististic version, Neve. Here's mine:

BG
A: copy BG. Impressionist: WaterColor Spotty Brush on Rough Paper (modified from defaults)
B: copy BG - (dissolve ~50%)
C: MergeVis (A,B). ColorPencil. (Hardlight)
D: copy BG sketch layer (Multiply)
E: RenderClouds. repeat Impressionist (Darken) added a layer mask to clean up leakage outside the sky.
Now reduce opacity of layer B to about 20%

Enjoy. -Mark

I travelled through parts of Montana when we came from Ontario to BC. Must have had my eyes closed, parts of the state is incredibly beautiful.
Duplicated and flipped vertical, skewed to roughly fit and changed to Soft Light.
Added a Velvia action.

Cheers
Dave

Montana

I ran a median filter over it, and then paint dabs, hue & sat. In Painter I used oil brush cloners, then back to PS to add texture (Wow) and a border that I had from one of my art pieces.

Wow; another one that I missed. Think this was the period when I was doing Satellite Dish installs (lasted only two months; got burnt out quite fast and my hat's off to those who have lasted doing this). Enjoyed to the play too.

Joe loved your work on the refection in the water, great color in the blues.

Added some clouds, AHB, adjustment layer and texture.

Re: Creative interpretations: Scenery - USA Montan

I really enjoy when other people pick up a thread from a while ago. Thanks. Nice to see something submitted almost five years ago. Being Montana, it's probably not changed much in that time.

Used a sketch over Impressionist followed by PS filter, crosshatch.

Re: Creative interpretations: Scenery - USA Montan

I used Topaz Simplify, Akvis Sketch, Redfield Sketch blended with several layers of the Impressionist filter at different blending modes and various opacities.
