| Pouting in Pink this picture sooo reminds me of my little sister 30 years ago, she was quite a going concern at times! byRO-the texture of the brushstokes really adds interest! is it a bristle tip? Cathy- you achieved a more relaxed, loose feel, I had this in mind but it got away from me. Jaykita-I agree with Cathy, very expressionistic! I think I might have ended up overworking mine, seems it's always difficult to decide when to stop. -edited in Photoshop -opened in Painter and worked on a clone -base pink background -layer 1 set to luminousity and used a variant of soft camel oil to clone -layer 2 set to default and used same brush, reduced opacity to 50% -dropped layers and copied -applied surface texture (image luminance I think?) to the duplicate layer and reduced opacity to 30% -dropped layers and applied surface texture (paper) -adjusted levels in Photoshop |

| Downloaded a trial version of painter this morning.... I thought this would be a good image for my maiden voyage with the software. I think I found a new toy! Last edited by Elleth; 05-28-2005 at 01:22 PM. |

| i did something i wouldnt normally do with this one; i enlarged her eyes. i wanted a more 'anime' look to them. after that it was adjusting contrast, hues, saturation with the fast fix plugin and some standard psp 7 filters. jaykita, i love that rendition! byRo, the 2nd is better and like legacy said, cazubi, great atmosphere! liked the others also! | Playing with Painter So many pictures, so little time! Seems like ages since I've done any of the challenges here . . . working on learning Painter, it's going to take quite a bit of time before I feel really comfortable working in it. Cropped, prepped in CS2, background created in CS2 by choosing colors from the original, and using render clouds and Impressionist. Cloned in Painter 8, using the newly created background and the prepped original. Then added a touch of color here and there, and blended. Back into CS2 for a h/s adjustment. |

| Thanks, Cathy, Sherry, i guess my work does seem expressionistic. I enjoy using plenty of color in my work. Here's another one done in painter 8 with one of my modified brushes. |
