Palms....very nice aged effect!
Felt this image would make a nice watercolor.
Orig +find edges layer x2 (diff blends)+ vp gouache, and some hue-sat changes.

Jaykita, this is a sweet photo, and all the paintings are beautiful. I think I started out with Art History Brush, then some Photoshop Watercolor and Impressionist filter.

Thanks for the photo Judy and terrific work everyone

I started in Paint Shop Pro applying an Impressionist setting (one of Danny's), then Paint Engine sponge setting. Into Painter and some brushstrokes on the trees, then decided to Just Add Water to entire picture.

Cart

Beautiful work everyone. I used Painter, and used watercolor cloners and added paper texture.

I thought it might be a good idea to keep the couple and the cart..
This is the layer setup:

couple and cart cut out carefully
graphic pen (soft light)
colored pencil (hue)
accented edges (difference)
original

Now the bad part.. jpg compression 6

nice, palms. that's quite a contrast. you made me think that this picture shld maybe be cropped also, to bring the couple to the forefront more. good job

Very nice image! I started for a watercolor, but detoured so many times along the way that I have no idea how I got here. Oh, well, enjoy!

The creative path is seldom easy to predict and if it was long, it's usually difficult to explain. "Been there/done that" too many times to count.

As long as you had fun along the way (and it looks like you did, Patricia), that's what counts!

~Danny~
