| | | wedding photo to sketch Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I've tried various ways, but I'm not satisfied with the results. Basically I want to turn a colour wedding photograph into a b+w sketch. I would like it to be more simplified with thicker lines (but not a cartoon) rather than the wishy washy grainy effect I keep getting.
Thankyou |

Thankyou | Welcome, Callum...
If you could post a link to a moderately sized original (assuming it's uploaded somewhere), that way some folks who frequent this site could try different methods on it and you could see which you preferred.
Or you could use the "Manage attachments" dialog in a subsequent post to upload a .jpg here -- file size has to be 100KB or less.
Are you a PC user? What pgm are you using to do the manipulation? Photoshop? Paintshop Pro? or (what)? Knowing this info will help us help you.

it would also be helpful to tell us what program you are using. you said you've tried several things. it might also be helpful to say what you've tried so far.

| | | Re: wedding photo to sketch Automated solutions will probably never get you where you want to be. I did a few photo to drawing conversions when I first got a Wacom tablet. They may fall in the "Cartoonish" catagory, but they should give you an idea of what is possible. I also found this link.. http://www.freetimefoto.com/photosho...photoshop.html
which appears to be a pretty cool method.

| | | Re: wedding photo to sketch The link you show seem like the result from sketchmyphoto. The different just is sketchmyphoto is without colour. The same thing is the corner of the picture is whitened creating a bluring effect. The attachment you do it with the method from the link u post? |
