Here is mine i did this between, Photoshop7, Painter9, Psp7.

Its my first painting of oils,. I usually do chalk but i had to have a go.

I have a larger size if needed, but i hate the colouring on the cheek, but i gave up as i was making it worse.

Hope you like it, now show me what you can do???

Elle

I know exactly where I've been..
It was the last day of my honeymoon with Naburi and we noticed it on the way to the airport in London.
I'll see what I can do with it the next days..

I was at home, my son woke us with the news that there had been a crash, spent the rest of the day watching the news

If that is your first oil painting can't wait to see the next few,

Oh wow Palms that is gorgeous, yes it was my first one in oils i would only do the chalk before as it was safe, but i like how you did her face, mine looks like too much foundation, so how did you do her face so clear and smooth?

I remember that time well too, my Mum *passed away now* she shouted up for me to wake up, come hear the news,. And it said on the news she had died, it was like the world stood still.

Only a few great people i feel in my lifetime that have passed and that included my Mum, mother theresa and the pope, and i am not catholic i just believe those last two plus lady diana were world stoppers.

That and the latest tragedies.

Thank you!

Thanks elle
For a while now i have been practicing doing smudge paintings and finally think i am getting somewhere, There is a great tutorial over at innographx which has been recently updated with some brushes added (psp versions as well), i used the smudge brush in Linda's brushes strength of about 40%

Being a fellow Brit did you catch any off itv's 50 news items that changed the world ? Dianas crash was one of them, i found the program quite disturbing (it was late at night) as most of the things that had happened were in my life time, Don't know which was number 1 i had turned it of by then

Palms
ps keep up with the oils

palms,

i agree with legacy, very fine job!

and legacy, you did a great job, but if you look at yours compared to palms' you mention too much foundation. i think all you need on yours is a bit of highlights on the face, particularly on her right cheek. think 'retouch' and you'll have it

Craig
