This was done in part with a Paint Shop Pro script that I got from someone quite a while back. Don't even remember his name now. I use it rarely, but thought it might work here.

Wow! These are all so well done, each one inspiring. I was trying for a mechanical pen, stippled drawing effect. I began with film grain and just played with lots of layers, blending modes, and sharpening.
