Hi Cat! Great choice of images to play with, esp. as the festive season draws near.
Here's my attempt. Like some say "I threw everything into it except the kitchen sink!" Haha!!

Hard to do too much to this one, couldn't make up my mind if I preferred a little colour, or just a greyscale sketch

Norman Rockwell moment.

The look that I've been striving for since I first got serious about photo to art renderings. Rockwell and Kinkade are the looks that I've strived to achieve for several years now. Getting close as far as Rockwell is concerned (still need some more tweaking though). Merry Christmas folks.

Cassidy, 3 great versions. Your grey scale sketch is especially interesting.
Nan, the dress was hard for me, too, but you've made her face and the fur on her cap so beautiful.
Judy, your colorful "kitchen sink" version is delicious!
Ikroll, interesting idea to try for Rockwell's style. I don't know a lot about him, but it seems to me that his paintings all try to evoke an emotion from us, so this one probably works on that level as well.

Terrific and diverse results folks

Painter - Jeremy Suttons/Paulos Goodbrush on the background, Acrylics captured bristle on clothing and faces. Jeremy's Oil Cloner for the hair. I worked right on top of the photo which I very rarely do.

Thanks Catherine for the rare photos...!

Great results Neve. Nice to see you back.

My, my aren't you brave. I discovered the HARD way what working on the original can do to mess up a photo. My hat goes off to you for your courage...and with spectacular results.

Janet
