Thanks Craig and Janet. Glad you enjoy my "chips." I can never stop after just one.

Have some more! All done with Medhi plugins with additional work in PS.

Yup, you caught me; these words make me sound intelligent (in which I'm not). LOL

for those maybe wondering what are tessalations, here is a definition pulled off the site that lkroll linked to:
Quote:
What are Tessellations

The word 'tessera' in latin means a small stone cube. They were used to make up 'tessellata' - the mosaic pictures forming floors and tilings in Roman buildings

Here, the term has become more specialised and is used to refer to pictures or tiles, mostly in the form of animals and other life forms, which cover the surface of a plane in a symmetrical way without overlapping or leaving gaps. You can see examples top right as you move about this site.
interesting site, lk. and if you look around on there you can find a link to 'Tess', a piece of software you can download to make tessalations. seems to be free, but i havent installed yet, so dont know for sure.

well, i had to dig down in the pages here to find this thread again, but i needed it. this was one of those happy little accidents that occurs every once in a while when you're playing around.

i was messing around in filter forge with some different things, trying out this and that and hit on this. i'll let you figure out if it's an optical illusion or not.
