Nannis we dont live in Spain...but in Sweden..we have come for two months to escape the Swedish winter....We know the area well though as we have been coming for 14 years...quite romantic as i met Peter here when i was here through my job..

Shooting about 100 picts a day. Finally filled my 40GB hard drive and had to copy to cd's. Monday it was ducks. This is a winter area for many species of waterfowl and song birds.

Hello Photomaster...The panoramic view was lovely...glad you are enjoying your break and taking lots of photos....the only birds on the beach here in Spain are seagulls...not as exciting as yours....I am taking lots of photos too and filling my CDs quickly...but it will be nice to look back on when we are home and i have more time..

I love how you have done the pelicans,do you know of any other program where you can get a similar effect as i believe studio artist is for a mac....

Craig the bright colors and detail are great..pity you cant remember how it was done....

Good question. I am trying to learn Studio Artist and to me its a daunting program. It does not alter the base image but works on a replica of it. The authors in my opinion have gone somewhat crazy with options. Like they have 3200 presets. Yet with minimal knowledge you can do stuff. It seems that Gertrudis Pro mentioned on this site works the same way in that it doesn't work on the original image but uses the original image as a template for its work.

I suspect others here will be a tad more knowledgeable about Windows applications. For several years I wanted an application that had a painterly feel to it. It looks like I now have what I wanted in Spades.

Thanks for your reply Phil...sorry about the delay in replying...its fun to try the different programs and what they can do...will be back home late March then i can get stuck into the paint effects again and posting to retouchpro...sadly the pelicans are not at Paloma Park just now...got some nice swan photos though...going to a park called Senda next week so we will see what interesting animals are there...it is said it takes 4 hours to walk round so it should be fun...
