OT: Took some money out of the ....

....cookie jar and purchased CS2 upgrade (to upgrade my PS5.5). Man; it's like another completely different program. I used PS7 on a Mac, but can't remember it being this different. I have a lot of learning to do for sure (use a PC now of course). Got a good deal on it too: $150 from Best Buy which was marked wrong to my benefit. Don't think I will spend too much time now learning this fantastic tool this weekend. Thank God, it still kept PS5.5 intact (since I know how to use it).

Going from 5.5 to CS2 is like going from impulse to Warp 10. You'll love the view of stars (and the pixels)!!

I read an articule on why one should upgrade everytime an upgrade comes out. The point being that if you do not, then when you finally do upgrade you have to learn all the ones that you missed.

I was not sure that I agreed with that, but it seems that you may have proved his point. I am a relative newcomer that started on PS5, and have upgraded each and every time. There was a learning curve with each and everyone. I cannot imagine how long it would take me to make that jump at one time.

Good luck!

Saved a lot of money though Mike.

Getting easier now; I just needed some work at the navigation. I really like CS2 a whole lot more then PS5.5. I like GIMP too, so I will probably keep using both. They are just tools for me to exploit. Not in love with either. It's cool now that I can actually work with 16-bit files with layers (couldn't do so in PS5.5).
