| | Now that's funny Palms!
Honestly wasn't doing a comment on all the flowers on RetouchPRO. (Wish I had been as clever as that.)
Just a mood piece, that I felt in the mood to do.
And as always...thanks.

| | Thanks Steve...for choosing to do the roses...a dark and dramatic rendition...
So I decided to have a go...
Photoshop CS2 with the watercolor AHB and then curves followed by Niks color solarize....Framed with an action...

| | | A lot I have learned since the ... ...last time I posted to this thread. Lot's of GIMP tricks and a few filters (no smudging at all, just blends). I've already tried to explain this cool technique (too lazy to search the previous links), but it's still hard to explain. I used GIMP's Mosaic filter instead of GIMPressionist Ballpark mods again (this step created both the canvas and, with GIMPressionist Fury preset, the brush work simultaneously). Also used Xero's Supersmooth filter for some smoothing of the brushwork and used Color to Alpha set to screen to brighten up the colors a bit. Here's the complete rendering (around 330K). |
