I build violins for Orchestras, I don't say that I "Play" the violin, because profs do that, I just "sound" the violin, so I know to do all what professionals do with a violin, just don't play the same music as they do.

I play with 2 guys in a Café, but nothing professional, also I play at church

Hi Marvin:

Welcome to RetouchPRO. Glad you found us. I like what you did on this one. Very painterly looking. I especially like how you did the background.

Keep 'em coming.

Sylvia:

Welcome back to the photo-art forum. Don't stay along so long, next time. (Just now noticed your Trevor pic. Missed it earlier...)

I'd be especially interested in hearing how you got such a great watercolor look on this one. That's just terrific.

Hello,
Thanks for your nice comments on my version, Nancy and Danny.
As to the steps... boy, I was just playing around...
I started by really increasing the saturation, then I used steps by Redwater, adapted them and added a layer of Nik's pastel. That's about it...

CONGRATULATIONS to Jeff, whose name was pulled out of the hat (containing slips of paper with the names of all entrants) by my daughter.

Jeff... Send me a PM with your mailing address and we'll get that ball rolling.

Thanks to all who entered. There were some especially creative interpretations.

Woo Hoo!!!!

I appreciate winning, but my bookshelves are overflowing. If you would allow your lovely daughter to pull another name, I will happily give my prize to someone else!

Thanks,
Jeff

That's very kind of you, Jeff. I'll do that -- right after she gets back home from school.
