Hi,
Thought i would post this old photo of Therese, my youngest stepdaughter, she is now almost 18..one of my favorites of her and i thought a change from the usual flower photos i post enjoy...

What a lovely photo...considering it was blurred I thought to follow that route and make her into an angel.

This is lovely, i really like the angelic look you have given Therese....although her wings are a bit dirty now .....welcome to Retouch...first time i have seen your name....hope you enjoy this site as much as i do...everyone is so helpful and the talent outstanding....Forgot to ask how you did it????

Thanx for the welcome...sorry I should have given my steps. I use PaintShop Pro v9...I duplicated the layer, 25% gaussian blur of the new layer then set the blend mode to screen. Merged all layers and desaturated the background quite a bit.

She was a darling little girl. Hope she grew up to be as beautiful! :-)

I'm still trying to get a handle on Painter. Auto Clone ->impressionist seems easy enough, but the rest is beyond me!!

Brought the Painter version back into PhotoShop and did a mild Gausian blur, Curves adjustment and a little texture. Added a mask and with the original photo underneath, painted some slight detail back to the eyes, hairline and a slight definition of the blouse to add interest to the bottom portion of the picture.

Kids grow up too fast!

I llike the original. The slightly out of focus blurryness almost gives the image an oil painting feel.

My version was done with the art history brush.

Too much fooling around to remember the steps. Impressionist was used (along with GIMP's bumpmap filter) for the textured paper.

In a "pick the baby picture" contest, I believe she would be easy to spot. Not a lot of changes in her features, except for the obvious maturity. 8-)
