you're welcome

and now i'll quit hijacking the thread and return control to your normal programming.

some really excellent pieces here. klassy's tree and the cat by janet stand out just going by memory.

I WAS going to do the Talking Fish! Too late, huh?

Wow! Steve, Jaysmom, magic, classylady ... I forgot a couple...really nice. If I had a rainy day picture I'd be doing a Steve imitation right now. Just a beginner at this, but I promised myself that I'd always post no matter what, for the benefit of learning.

Couldn't figure out the nice wood carving/wood burning stuff. I couldn't pass up the 'stonger than oak' allegory (?). So when my wood carving came out flat and dull and decided to colorize. Not too happy about it. Cheesy and common.

Blue Dog...

Yours reminds me of Amish folk art. I especially like the resizing you did to the wood to fit the subject.

You sure figured out something. Swampy is right, looks like Amish art.

Different, and really a goody!

Also thanks for the nice words re. my interpretation.

Steve

What a fun thread. I'm enjoying all of the different interpretations.

BlueDog, yours really looks like a carving.
