| | | Now you know I do not have painter Danny; nor a Wacom. Here's my entry anyway (I did do some mouse smudges here and there). A better quality image can be found here; the attached image was set to a quality of around 37% or so to keep it within size budget. |

| | I have to admit, even tho I have Painter Essentials2 I used Deep Paint for this with a little bit of work in Photoshop (the frame obviously and an additional layer for a slight boost of the details).
Hope you like it
Photoshop. before I forget, the frame idea is "borrowed" from Pam *bows deep*

| | | Danny, don't put me in the contest since I won the last time. Just wanted to play with this lovely boquet of roses. :-)
Enlarged the canvas area.
I brought in a black and white version of an Illustrator file for the big "R". (Wanted to play with smart objects in Photoshop CS2) and placed it over the roses with blend mode set to multiply. Some of the roses fell outside the border of the "R" graphic so I used a mask to paint those areas out.
Added a PhotoFrame matte on a new layer (rotated in PhotoFrame), but it wasn't black enough so Ioaded it as a selection and filled with black. Inverted the selection and stroked the inside path gold.
Added a black fill layer below everything to fill in the inside of the frame.
Added the "Roses" Text. |

| | | Roses... I don't have painter, but I took a crack at it just the same:
Added a layer in color burn blending mode, filled it with white and painted the roses with a soft, black, 5% opacity brush to bring out the color.
Touched up the 2 bottom red roses to bring it more inline with the rest of the red roses...
Miscellaneous touch ups here and there to make it more natural looking...
Like something that just came from the garden...

| | | Let me proceed with the statement: "Don't enter me in the contest". I just do this for fun!
Started off adjusting color/contrast w/ Paint Shop Pro tools.
Used a double-dose of Impressionist: JCH VanGogh! (with 30degree instead of 0degree start angle).
Followed up with a saturation enhancement.
Finished off with duplicating the layer, using a "Lighten" blend mode, and gaussian blur of ~5pix.
Enjoy! |
