| | | Hi all...Thought I'd try another, still trying to get the hang of Painter, I've come to the conclution that you need to make bold strokes with brushes, then blend them in later. (I think!) By the way the pic loses a lot by shrinking it down to 100k........(that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!!)..

John | Looks great to me. Can be used to illustrate Walter Scott's novell right away.

| | John.. I agree with Pavel...I think the second one is great...you are doing really well...i am trying to get to grips with it too and enjoying the experience....I tend to do a muck up ...big stokes and then bring details back with a smaller brush and a soft blender...I also like the just add water for portrait photos i find them great for the skin..but we all get into our own style of painting....Today i downloaded a CD of brushes i got with Jeremy Suttons book...Painter IX Creativity...they are brilliant and the book is so helpful and written in an easy to undersatnd way....I need that...
Good luck ..most of all enjoy...

| | hanwoo seo, Welcome to RTP. Your work is simply stunning. Very, very well done. Even though you don't speak English well, I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that details of how you did your work would be appreciated.
