A Hatful of trouble

Well another one for you to play with.
This is my Lil girl trying on her grand fathers cap.
I've been messing with this for ages and would like to see anyone elses attempts.

Any style you like, I've also posted one of my efforts as well.

No use off site please.

Ok; something more palatable.

Toadies, Metalwork filter, Vector simplication and some Impressionist work (selective erasing on separate layer).

I like your second one Ikroll. Nice effect.
Here is my version done in Painter in oil pastels. Such a cute picture and little girl. The camera really caught her eyes.

Oh Boy is she. Trouble is she knows how to get round me. A hug works wonders.

Nice pic, I had almost forgotten about this thread, thanks for the reminder.

Thank you.
Texturize filter in PS SC2. I usually use a method posted on RP a while ago by Danny - to fill a layer with 50% gray color, apply texture and then merge in overlay. This gives you more control, you can vary the effect by reducing opacity of the layer. (Texture applied through an overlay layer will not show on white areas, though). Used a layer mask to make texture less rough on the face.
Actually, I did a fairly sloppy job with the borders. I made a pattern and used in to paint the borders. One can see transitions between area filled with pattern.
I post corrected image and a snapshot of the layer palette.

Texturizer has a few additional textures hidden in "Presets folder". (can get to them through a "Load texture" pull down menu). It will also take a B&W file in
jpg or pds format (it has to be a fairly high contrast file).
