oltenius,
thank you

steve,
i've thought about brush strokes for FF, but so far i havent really tried to do it. i'm currently working on a multi-art filter, but it wont have strokes. i know cameraken has worked on trying to make one for frames and borders, but it seems FF doesnt yet have that capability either. still, this is a VERY powerful, yet VERY easy to use construction kit for making filters. if you guys can handle learning photoshop, psp, painter and others, this shld be a breeze. we've all gone hunting for filters; now, you can just make them and use those that others here are making. it's an impressive program.

palms,
more kitchen sink!! that's very nice!

Palms, I'm not sure I like the background, but I LOVE the treatment of the blossoms!

my version

i'm not sure if i accomplished anything special -- but i enjoyed playing with this photo -- it was done with various filters in Filter Forge and blending and whatever else i could think of.

Thanks Craig and Swampy
There are some real cool versions coming out in this one.

Craig i like the embossed one but the one that looks like porcelain is excellent

Frank i think the marble effect does sort of work, possibly it would be better if the blossom was more white and less pattern ( like the leaves )?

and swampy cant remember everything that i done but the i used anisotropic and a tip from you facet ( but just the once)

makeover,
glad to see you taking the plunge on filter forge. cool isnt it

frank,
certainly looks to be on stone. dont know about marble. certainly not polished marble, but the effect is great regardless.

lk,
am a bit surprised with your penchant for filters that you havent gotten filter forge yet (god, i'm starting to sound like a saleman)

palms,
thank you i like the 2nd one better also. that was made with a filter i made called 'wet plastic' or 'wet glass', i forget.

My first try at photo art, I though I'd have a go at this in Corel Photo Paint, not sure what you'll think, I'm not very creative...John
