Nice interpretation.

Just as a point of info, the picture is of Loch Lochy (just N of Fort William in the great Glen), taken at about 05.00 am.

Interesting effect. Bit monotone, but with a little variation has definite possibilities.

I haven't started playing with this picture yet, kinda liked it as it is, but you've given me a few ideas for manipulating it a touch.

Dup, ran Color to Alpha on top layer and set this layer property to Screen. Dupped this layer to taste and flattened. Dupped, ran Flaming Pear's Mr. Contrast on Top layer and blended to taste. Flattened and ran GREYCstoration, adjust sat/color and saved (well some cleaning smudges were required).
