Hi Palms....

Guess my weekend has started....just going to shut down the computer when your sunflower popped up...couldnt resist....lovely photo...is it from your garden?...mine are in bud but think it will be a couple of weeks before i see the flowers...

In Painter i added...just water to the background and then smeared the petals...left the middle alone as i liked the detail already and the cute little bee...framed it in Photo Filtre...

Well back to gloss painting in the bedroom now...Thanks for the pic!!!!

Hope you enjoy your weekend too!

Yes Pat the sunflower is in my garden, But it has not grown straight ( hence the bit of finger ) in fact it is more horizontal than vertical !
I like the background pity i dont have painter (yet) and your right the detail in the midlle is super
enjoy your weekend

Reminds one of the old ditty..."she's my sunflower from the sunflower state."

Kansas, I think.

Thanks Palms...fun to do and you will have to put Painter on your wish list...although in the free version of Project Dogwaffle there is a just water bush too and it works just as well...will check out Twisted Brush to see if that has...when i have a mo...its really good for backgrounds...

Like yours Steve....Would make a lovely wall hung tapestry.....Never heard that old ditty ...what era was it from?????

ICE4 and GREYCstoration.

Mixed DCSpecial's ICE4 filter and GIMP's GREYCstoration for this one.

Shades of Van Gogh (hehehehe). Such a beautiful sunflower too. And I went and "ruined" it.

I'm so bad...............

sunflower

The first image is my first (and not particularly successful) experiment with Corel Painter. The second is a watercolor attempt.
