These are addicitve!

Thank you for such a neat photo swampy

I squished the levels at either end of the scale just a tad, then used 'poster edges' in CS2 and a sandstone texture .. and that was it really.

I loved the rough textures in the photo and wanted to keep those simple.

It's so neat to see the different treatments in these photos.

Way to go Swampy Great challenge and a great photo (you will have to think up some more for us )
I ran anisotropic twice used usm then duplicated used gaussian blur and hard light blend mode

Palms... Oooo that's so nice and smooth. I love the anisotropic filter. It can do some lovely things.

Pavel... Nice mono tone. Did you use a color fill layer over the black and white?

It was a color gradient layer used for grayscale mapping. Set of actions with a number of pre-set colors can be downloaded from here. I used selenium brown color.
