Pavel,

How do you think a frame in the deep purple/black of the leaves would look?

Patriciakay, you've done it again .. I love that dark solarized look. (takes notes)

Janet...You advised me to set my light metering to center weighted averaging so that my macro subject would be sharp and the background softer...

Steve...Your sane picture is great ...i like outlines..

Lyle....Happy you like the tin foil look...works for me...Sorry but Niks is not a freebie...what you need to find is color solarize.....will look on the net later...
will report back if i find one...

Frank....I am up for more flower photos...dont know if Steve can cope though..

Pavel...love the colors and texture of your pic...

continued below...... Patricia....

Tried a dark purple frame, it looks a bit morbid to me... :-)
Finally settled on a white one...

Patricia...Thank you

janet, very nice picture. thank you!

and some very nice renditions here. love the framed one, fox.

i seem to be on a kick with swirling patterns and flows. again, no filters. all hand work with some experimenting with brushes.

thanks, palms

you are at least partially the inspiration for these, what with your excellent smudges. these are sort of 'broadband smudges'
