| Lovely photo Janet...Is it a hibiscus??? Pretty picture,so delicate.... Lyle....Like the effect too...gotta be different sometimes!!!! Palms this is lovely...you certainly have tamed the wild AHB! I have done two for you...Both done in PDpro with the smear brush,lighting effects and color emboss....the dark one i added Niks color solarize...one of my favorite plugins just now... Thanks again Janet for the camera tip earlier in the summer..its made a world of difference to my photos.... Patricia...  |

| I'm glad you are all having fun and enjoying being creative. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring. Thanks Patricia for the kind words. I wish I remembered what I said. I've sort of slept since then if you get my drift.  I'm better at naming the wildflowers than the tame ones in my neighbor's garden. That means I don't have a clue what the name of the flower is. | Thanks all. Hey Janet, Hope you don't mind if I share my result with my ArtWanted site. I will give full credit to your capture (and this thread). By the way, I do not sell anything I do. I just enjoy doing it (couldn't make money with my stuff anyway; lol).  Edit: I also want to say that I really like your tinfoil looking rendering Patricia. Is NIK's solarize filter free or not (I have the Color EFex Pro filter)? |

| Pretty flowers! Steve, I have a plum tree in full bloom! *wicked grin* I sometimes get to the point where I can't remember quite what I did, but I *think* it went like this - Dry Brush, then Palette Knife, then Rough Pastels, pulled in both ends of the levels, the a simple frame. Yup, that was it. I just did it again to check. leanan |

| Janet...You advised me to set my light metering to center weighted averaging so that my macro subject would be sharp and the background softer... Steve...Your sane picture is great ...i like outlines.. Lyle....Happy you like the tin foil look...works for me...Sorry but Niks is not a freebie...what you need to find is color solarize.....will look on the net later... will report back if i find one... Frank....I am up for more flower photos...dont know if Steve can cope though.. Pavel...love the colors and texture of your pic... continued below...... Patricia....
