Played with selective color to punch up the blues and greens, played with some blurs, overlay layers, and the spatter filter.

Thanks for sharing.

Steve...I really like the colors and detail you have brought out...

I have had a go in Painter....trying to get to grips with it...
Used Dens Funky Chunky and Dens Lucious oil brushes...changing the brush size as i went on..took it into photoshop and added lighting and an action for the frame...

Patricia...

PS....Lots of different pics in the link if you care to have a look!

Wasn't as happy with this rendering as some I have done. This, for some reason, was a difficult image to get anything I was happy with. So Glad it looks ok to you.

About Painter, I have heard pro and con as to how much the program does for you with it's settings etc., and how much actual brush and pad work you need to do from scratch.

I tried Painter Essentials 3 and couldn't get a decent image with it, so I gave up. That is why I am trying to find out if IX5 is any better.

The images I have seen done with it, like yours, look great. But if it doesn't help with effects etc. like Paint Shop Pro or PS, then I don't think it would be worth it to me. I am still investigating , so one never knows.
