Re: Old Town,Stockholm.

Alex...

Your welcome to the photos...its feels good to share...Stockholm is a beautiful city, what i like about it is you are never far away from the water and the Old Town is my favorite part...

Love all three that you have done but the first one i like best....Did you manipulate it or paint it?

Patricia....

Re: Old Town,Stockholm.

Thank you Patricia, it’s a pleasure to live near the water.
I try to do my works taking the shortest way, except AHB,of course , so the first one - just Cutout with different blending, the second-Impressionist plug-in, and the third - Smart Blur.
I like the spirit of your work.
Regards

Re: Old Town,Stockholm.

Hi Patricia, thanks for posting your pictures, they bring back some welcome memories.

Only thing different is last time I was in Stockholm it was the Summer of 1976 (the really long hot one), and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

Oh, and there are no Ladybirds. That year there was a plague of ladybirds in the Baltic, the whole front of the accomodation block on my ship was covered with them, and the same applied whenever we sat outside to eat and drink.

Re: Old Town,Stockholm.

Steve...I like this...all the buildings look really clean...if only it were so easy in real life...
Winters are really cold can get as cold as -27 if we are really unlucky....i am a big softie and shiver when its around freezing...its very damp then...BUT...when it starts getting past -8 its a dry cold and i can cope with that better than the damp!
