Re: Fall Colors

Alan...I was wondering camera and lens your were using for these shots...very nice.

All the pics posted are extremely good, but I have to say I really like Swampy's work, the approach, and her explanation..

Re: Fall Colors

Thanks Patricia; I really wish I could afford Lucis Arts. Flaming Pear's Mr. Contrast is a very good substitute, but the Lucis seems much better.

Re: Fall Colors

Thanks, Craig. I think I finally got a decent technique for "wet" watercoloring.

Re: Fall Colors

Ah, fall. My favorite season, made all the sweeter by its brevity.

There's a great body of work here. Just a few that stick in my head--
I especially like what Dan and LonK did with the first image, Steve's version of the second, and Ziaphra's, Kiska's and Swampy's renditions of the third.

I was drawn to the last one, too. I used Artweaver on it, as has become my habit lately, after tuning up in CS2 in which I also added some texture later on.

Re: Fall Colors

Great pictures Alan, you've really caught Autumn at its best.

Haven't had time to do anything with them yet, but I'm sure I'll be trying as soon as I've got a bit of spare time.

Some great renditions already.

Re: Fall Colors

skydog,

I was shooting with my Canon Rebel XT. The lens for all of those shots was the Canon 28-80 that came packaged with the camera. I have only had it for a couple of weeks and am extremely happy with it.

Wow! Everybody is doing great work on these images, there is no lack of creativity or talent around here!

Re: Fall Colors

Thanks for your nice comments.

Nice depth to your version. Really like the 3d, and heavy brush look.

Steve
