Creative interpretations: old port

Was practicing a technique with sxc photo, ending up doing something different.
The original is great for artyfying, I think.

The colors are what impressed me ... I made it a watercolor.

Re: Creative interpretations: old port

Steve, like your "old photo" effect. You should post it in "old photo restoration" section as a restoration challenge.

Stosh, very good crop. Eliminated extra info on the right side shifting focus to the ship.

Beautiful paintings, everybody! I wanted to give this one a try as a watercolor, too.

Re: Creative interpretations: old port

Thank you for the lovely photo Pavel..Like all three of your renditions but number 1 is my fave...I like the dark intensity of it!

Palms...yours has a nice painted look to it..

Dan...Lovely impressionist painting...great colors..

Steve...two good ones from you...like the old look on the second!

Stosh...lovely bright colors and i also like your framing!!!

Cat...Yours is beautiful...I do like watercolor...

Mine is just a quickie, i did with filters in Photoshop CS2..the last one being Flaming Pears Aetherize just to change the lovely color scheme...framed with an action...

Patricia..

Re: Creative interpretations: old port

Thought about doing that, but imagined I would have a few angry Retouch Pro'ers at my throat when they found out they were working on a manipulation of a recent photo. :

Thanks for your nice comments.
