Re: Handfull of fuschia's

well, i had another go at this. only this time i used nothing but filter forge filters. a couple of these are with a fairly heavy kaleidoscope type filter. fun stuff (compression had to be quite severe on the kaleidoscope ones in order to post)

Craig looks like you have been having fun.
I dont know what it is ( or how to explain ) but i have a fondness for this grey look, when i have used the high pass filter you get this sort of look at first and i like it then as i like yours
The third one is really great you see all different things when you look at it at different angles its a bit mesmerising

Re: Handfull of fuschia's

thanks, janet

thanks, palms

there's another fellow on the filter forge forum that's doing some really fascinating kaleidoscope type stuff also. really intricate. there's also several filters devoted to kaleidoscope. these were done with one of my multi-filters that i refuse to release. they give me too much inspiration and i'm selfish that way

Re: Handfull of fuschia's

thanks, patricia

yup, still playing with filter forge. they are getting closer to release and just came out with another version. i think the filter library contrains over 1000 entries now. it's very stable, easy to work with and produces some very nice stuff.

a lot of the filters are texture type filters aimed at the game industry. some are quite amazing. but me, i like doing effects for photo art and making large, multi-filter types with tons of sliders and controls for different effects.

i know i sound like a commercial for this thing, but it's far above the normal plug-in you see out there and i just want other artists to be aware of it.
