Re: Back to cats

Hi Palms....two lovely photos of Winnie, looking very cosy!!!!
Thanks for sharing them! Great smudge....you are a real inspiration!

Pavel..nice smudge...we all smudge in different ways and i guess its what we are happy with that counts...its just to practice as much as poss!!!

Dan...your combination of watercolor and smudge worked well...like how the colors turned out!

Craig...Thank you for your smudging tips....to add to my ever growing list!!!

I have tried a sketch effect...a tutorial from my Photoshop book...dont think its quite the look i want but hopefully i will find it in the end!!!

Patricia....

Re: Back to cats

Cozy kitty. Here's a version with a mishmash of PS and Painter - mishmash because I have no idea what all I did. Looks like the cat is in hibernation mode.

Re: Back to cats

Patricia....like your cat. The form is so generalized plus the eyes... Something that is not quite awaken, yet it is watching you closely.

Tried to repeat the effect with little success.

Re: Back to cats

One of my favorite subjects to photograph. And one of my favorite pets.

Here's a cropped version.

Re: Back to cats

Margaret great mishmash look and great word mishmash
Pavel not sure what to call your style on this one but i do like the greyness with the eyes makes it quite dramatic
